The Home Edit Pantry Organization

Our first organizing project to whip our home into shape was tackling our upper kitchen cabinet pantry shelves. These are the exact organization products from Walmart that we used for our pantry.

WHAT WE USED TO ORGANIZE OUR PANTRY:

Organizing Pantry Shelves

In our home, we don’t have a “real” pantry and use upper kitchen cabinet shelves to store pantry items. The main challenge with using upper kitchen cabinets as pantry storage is that a lot of the shelves are not very easy to reach.

MUST HAVE #1: Clear Bins

This is where bins come in especially handy – to be able to pull out the whole bin and easily find what you need instead of having to remove items that are in the front in order to get to items in the back of the shelves (which is what we did for years before organizing this space properly).

Both wide and narrow bins are equally useful to organize pantry items depending on the size of what you’re storing. We ordered extra of each to test out what would fit best when sorting through our food. We also ordered these large insert bins, which were helpful to subdivide smaller items.

MUST HAVE #2: Turntable

I don’t know how we lived without this turntable before! It was definitely a game changer for our sauce storage! Now we can easily find sauces that were otherwise stuck in the back of the shelf.

MUST HAVE #3: 3-Tiered Riser

This 3-tiered riser is great to organize cans. It allows you to see all your canned goods so you know exactly what you have on hand.

Now it’s your turn to tackle your own organization projects! The feeling after everything is organized and in its place is the best. Browse The Home Edit collection, exclusively at Walmart, for more organization inspiration!
